The Ark has Landed in Bathealton
Come and see how many pairs of animals have landed from the Ark. During the week they will be sited throughout the parish (all visible from the road). On the weekend of 15/16th September they will gather in Bathealton Village. Join them for morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Butterflies, Beetles and Bugs Art Workshop Afternoon
Come and have fun experimenting with encaustic, print, textiles, paint, sculpture and willow-weaving. We will use images taken from the insect world to create strange and wonderful creatures, design prints, make jewel-like landscapes in paint and textiles and pattern iridescent wings of many colours. No charge, all materials provided.

Parish Art Exhibition
Visit our beautiful 13th century church set in the middle of the village for an exhibition of work by parish artists. Painting, prints, photographs, drawing and encaustic art, temari and ceramics for home and garden will be on display. Walk around the village to see the sculptures, inventions and writings.

Louise Baker, Michael Fairfax and Gordon Field will be creating a wooden tower structure to set alight on Sunday 16th. Please come along on Sunday 11am-5pm to create small wooden or paper structures to include in the inferno. Burning event at 7:30pm with ignition at sundown.

Willow Sculptures
Follow the trail of animal and bird willow sculptures dotted through the villages of Chipstable and Waterrow. How many can you find and can you guess what they are? All are visible from the road and will be displayed throughout the festival.

An ideal way to spend an afternoon with friends, learning the basic skills involved in preparing a traditional Indian meal. Session 1 - Create a 'curry' the traditional way. Session 2 - 'Hands On' Indian Bread making. Later enjoy the fruits of your labour by sharing your creations together.

Ten Parishes Eco Youth Group Environmental Arts Day
With tutor Bridget Carver and other members of the group we will run environmental arts sessions for young people. Make a sculpture using willow, turf and mud and design and decorate an environmentally friendly carrier bag. Please wear old clothes and bring a picnic.

Local musician Fodo Higginson has written songs on the theme of animals and the environment. She has made full backing tracks for all the songs. Now all that's needed are some children and adults to join her to learn the songs and perform them at the Street Market.

Heritage Open Days - Congregational Church
A Grade II listed chapel opened in 1708. Attractive interior and stained glass. There will be an exhibition of the history of the Congregational Church in Wiveliscombe. You may remember coming to Sunday School here or to the various youth clubs that have been run.
