Further Info

Consecrated in 1829, this Richard Carver church replaced a medieval church on the same site and reflects the huge advance in commerce and trade within Wiveliscombe particularly in the brewing trade. The Hancock and Boucher families are commemorated in the stained glass windows.

An organ was first installed in the gallery in 1845, moved later to the south aisle, returning to the gallery in 1929. Further enhancements in 1995 and 2000 make the present organ an instrument of significance and during Heritage Open Days, Tony Canterbury, Church Organist and Choir Master, and Dennis Scotter will play for the delight of visitors to the church.
